PAA instructions

You must complete the pre-assessment activity (PAA) before you can register for the TSI assessment. The PAA provides an overview of the TSI assessment, including sample questions and additional resources to help you study. To complete the PAA, follow the directions below:

  1. On a computer or Chromebook, go to the ACCUPLACER practice site.
  2. If you do not already have an ACCUPLACER account, create one by clicking "Don't have an account? Sign Up." If you do, log in using your existing ACCUPLACER account credentials.
    • You must use your legal name and a personal (not FWISD or TCC) email address.
  3. After logging in, select "Texas Success Initiative 2.0 Pre-Assessment Activity" to access the activity.
  4. Select "Tarrant County College" for the campus where you'll be testing.
  5. Agree to the terms then click "NEXT >."
  6. Click "BEGIN PRE-ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY."
  7. Complete the activity. Note that this activity is not graded. It is simply to introduce you to the exam's format.
  8. At the end of the activity, click to download your completion certificate.
  9. Submit your certificate
  10. If you misplace the certificate, you can always retrieve it by going back to the ACCUPLACER practice site and clicking the history button at the top right.
